Observations: Licensing observed a staff had an expired Criminal Record Check that expired on February 25, 2021 and it had not been renewed.

Description: The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.

Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that the criminal record check is renewed every five years for persons over the age 12 who are ordinarily present.

Observations: Licensing observed a Criminal Record Check had expired on February 25, 2021 and it had not been renewed for a person over the age of 12 who was ordinarily present.

Description: A licensee must have in writing from a parent, and maintain at the community care facility, consent (b) to release a child to someone other than the parent.

Corrective Actions Required: Ensure children's files includes permission to release them to someone other than than their parent.
