Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing tested hot water and observed that the temperature of hot water in Portable 1 was 53.4 degrees Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of persons in care and must be corrected immediately. Manager stated staff will supervise children when handwashing occurred. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

Observations: Licensing observed a log of playground inspections was missing a record for April 25, 26, 31 March 26, 27, 28, 2025, Manager stated that the inspections were conducted but not recorded.

Observations: Licensing observed that a Group Child Care (School Age) program with 19 children and a Preschool (30 Months to School Age) program were being operated at the same time out of Portable 2. The facility Licence indicated that on times of school closures the Preschool (30 Months to School Age) will not be in operation however on this date the school has closed at 11:50 due to an early dismissal day and the preschool program was open until 1:00 pm.

Description: A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility the certificate of any educator or assistant employed to work in the community care facility.
