Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: While on site the Licensee turned off the hot water in the bathroom. Licensing confirmed the hot water was off.

3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Clearance)
Description: A 1.8 metre (6 feet) clearance around equipment is considered safest
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure 6 foot clearance around equipment.

Observations: Licensing observed a 2 ft Little Tikes Climber without 6 ft clearance on two sides. Back side had cement stepping stones within the 6 ft and right side had an art easel and loose boards/tires beside it.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Inspected)
Description: Thorough daily, monthly and annual inspections, as well as maintenance and repairs of the outdoor play area are performed and recorded

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: On August 19 Licensee submitted a photo showing the outdoor checklist had been completed daily.

Description: A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensee submitted photos of attendance records for the week of August 8-11 showing children had been signed in and out with their time of arrival and departure.

Description: A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: During the inspection one child was picked up, bringing the facility into compliance with the terms and conditions on the Licence. Licensee also submitted attendance records for August 8-11 showing no more than 8 children in care at one time.
