Observations: Licensing observed several chemicals on a shelf in the garden shed that were stored in an unlocked building.
3010 - DOLSOP (Prevent Overdose Deaths Training)
Description: Licensee Training Licensee must receive training in the administration of Naloxone from their pharmacist, and must ensure that their staff also receive appropriate training

Observations: Licensing inspected the medication cabinet and one person in care is currently on palliative care and receiving hydro-morphone for pain management. The manager advised that no staff are currently trained to administer Naloxone or provide first aid appropriate to the situation.
3020 - DOLSOP (Immunization in Adult Care)
Description: Immunization in adult residential care facilities – Director of Licensing Standard of Practice

Observations: Licensing reviewed the records for two persons in care. One person in care did not have any historic immunization records in their file.
3080 - DOLSOP (Supply Available)
Description: Licensees that provide care to persons who are at risk of an opioid drug overdose must obtain and maintain a supply of Naloxone and associated supples for safe administration for emergency use in the event that a person in care suffers from a drug overdose.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that a supply of Naloxone and associated supplies for safe administration for emergency use in the event that a person in care suffers from a drug overdose is obtained and maintained.
