Description: A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure the community care facility is operated in a manner that will promote the health, safety, and dignity of persons in care, specifically regarding suitability of staff members. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specifically to this contravention. Actions required by Licensing: On February 6, 2025, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: the staff enroll in conflict resolution training to be completed by March 2025. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined staff did not demonstrate the skills and abilities to carry out the duties as assigned. Specifically, three staff engaged in a verbal dispute while children in care were in the room.
3070 - CCLR 58(2)(a)
Description: The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure to develop a care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s required by Licensing: On February 6, 2025, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: [child] had not attended the daycare since December 2024, should the child return in care, a care plan would be developed in collaboration with the family and staff. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that staff implemented strategies to support a child in care, there was no care plan developed with the parent.
