3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Clearance)
Description: A 1.8 metre (6 feet) clearance around equipment is considered safest

Observations: Licensing observed that three different pieces of equipment containing slides and climbing had been situated immediately next to each other containing no clearance. A red slide was also observed situated next to the facility fence with no clearance.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Hard surfaces)
Description: Equipment must not be installed over concrete, asphalt or other hard surfaces (may include dry grass

Observations: Licenisng observed that a red slide with step ladder, a composite climber with a slide, a green slide and a climber with climbing holes and walls had been installed over hard grass surfacing.
3010 - CCLR 19(1)(c)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: a record of the person’s work history

Observations: Licensing audited three staff files, one file was missing a record of work history for a person employed.
3020 - CCLR 56(1)(c)
Description: A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]

Observations: Licensee stated a Ford passenger van had been purchased and that 12 children were being transported to activities with one ECE and one ECEA. This was not following an approved Corrective Action Plan dated July 14, 2023 that stated that Licensee will be transporting all children to outings.
