3000 - CCLR 15(1)(a)

Observations: Licensing observed the outdoor area had a little play house with exposed nail that was sharp and accessible to the children, two metal chairs that were rusty with sharp chipping paint. One of the slides, being used by children at the time of inspection, with an exposed screw.

Observations: Licensing observed that all of the rooms in Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) and Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) had heavy objects stored high on shelves with intentional play spaces below.
3010 - CCLR 19(1)(b)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person

3010 - CCLR 19(4)(a)
Description: A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a valid certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry

Observations: Licensing observed that the fire drill had not been recorded for the month of April. Staff stated they had not performed the fire drill for the month April.
3030 - CCLR 34(2)(a)
Description: Without limiting subsection (1) a licensee must ensure that children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E, (except FCC/IHMACC/REC; child qualified if in age range or within one month (except GCC School Age)).

Observations: Licensing observed in the staff communication log that a child from the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) program was spending time in the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) program on March 28, 2026. Staff stated that the child was four years old.
3040 - CCLR 53(1)(b)
Description: If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (b) readily accessible to employees.

Observations: Licensing observed that one of the children that had a care plan for use of an epi pen was out on a field trip and did not have the epi pen in the emergency bag. The epi pen was in the office at the facility.
3070 - CCLR 58(2)(a)
Description: The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
