Description: A licensee must ensure that all employees comply with the policies and procedures of the medication safety and advisory committee.

Corrective Actions Taken By Licensee: Licensing audited the medication cart and observed all medication had a label from the pharmacy. Licensing audited the medication administration record and observed all medication administered had been signed or coded.
Actions Required By Licensing: No further action required; this contravention has been addressed.

Description: A licensee must keep the following records in respect of each employee: character references

Observations: Licensing audited ten employee files. One employee file had only one reference check and one employee file did not have a record of any references checked.

Description: If the manager of a community care facility resigns, or is or expects to be absent for at least 30 consecutive days, the licensee must notify a medical health officer
