Description: A licensee must ensure that water accessible to a person in care, from any source, is not heated to more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing audited two water sources accessible to persons in care The kitchen water temperature was 55 degrees Celsius. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of persons in care and must be corrected immediately. A plan for corrective action was submitted to Licensing. The Manager turned down the hot water during the inspection and stated they would ensure that the temperature would be monitored to be under 49 degrees Celsius. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

Description: A licensee must provide the following appropriately furnished and equipped areas: secure, safe and adequate storage areas for cleaning agents, chemical products and other hazardous materials
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure secure, safe and adequate storage areas for cleaning agents, chemical products and other hazardous materials. Licensee safely stored cleaning chemicals in locked cupboard during the Routine Inspection.
