Observations: An annual emergency drill for 2021 was not documented and a fire drill for January 2022 was not documented in the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) program. Manager stated they had been conducted but not recorded.
3050 - CCALA 7(1)(b)(i)
Description: A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care

Observations: A corrective action plan that was submitted to Licensing and accepted by Licensing indicated the water fountain would be turned off and water dispensers would be installed. Staff stated the water fountain was being used and the water dispensers were no longer required because the City of Victoria retested the water. Licensing has not received the retesting results to date.
3070 - CCLR 57(2)(a)
Description: A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a)name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number (MSP number does not apply to REC only) and immunization status.

Observations: Children's files for the Group Child Care (School Age) program were not on site this date. Staff corrected during inspection and brought the files back to the facility for Licensing to review.

Observations: One set of the washrooms for the Preschool (30 Months to
School Age) program was closed due to renovations. Manager stated there was mold damage in the washrooms and both washrooms were closed previously to allow for the renovations. Licensing was not notified of this and a washroom plan was not submitted to Licensing for review.
