Description: If a person in care requires monitoring, or a signalling device, to ensure that person’s health and safety, a licensee must provide a monitoring system or signalling device that will signal to employees that the person in care needs immediate assistance.

Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On December 30, 2025, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: fifteen minute checks were provided on persons in care until the call bell system was in working order and the call bell system will be monitored and audited by January 12, 2025. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.

Observations: Regarding intake November 21, 2025. Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the signalling device used by a person in care did not signal consistently to employees that the persons in care needed immediate assistance.

Description: Subject to subsection (3), if a person in care is involved in a reportable incident, the licensee must immediately notify a medical health officer, in the form and in the manner required by the medical health officer

Corrective Actions Required: Ensure when persons in care are involved in a reportable incident, the licensee immediately notifies a medical health officer. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On December 30, 2025, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: all incidents regarding call bell system will be immediately reported to Licensing and effective January 16, 2025, reports will be monitored and audited. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
