Observations: Licensing reviewed the policy and procedure manual. The manual did not include a policy and procedure in respect of monitoring persons in care including the use of electronic surveillance.
3030 - RCR 57(2)(a)
Description: A licensee must, to the greatest extent possible while maintaining the health, safety and dignity of all persons in care, ensure that a person in care may receive visitors of the person in care’s choice at any time,

Observations: Licensing reviewed the visitation process and the policy associated with the process which provided details around Sunday afternoon visitation hours. An exemption was previously approved for this section of legislation which has expired. Exemption information was provided to the Manager.

Description: A licensee of a community care facility with more than 24 persons in care must develop, with the assistance of a dietitian, a nutrition plan for each person in care.
