Description: A licensee must ensure that water accessible to a person in care, from any source, is not heated to more than 49° Celsius.

Observations: Licensing observed the water temperature in person in care's bathroom at 53.7 degree Celsius.
This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of persons in care and must be corrected immediately. A plan for corrective action is to be submitted to Licensing by May 17, 2023. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.

Description: A licensee must ensure that all rooms and common areas are maintained in a good state of repair

Observations: Licensing observed duct tape covering ripped flooring throughout the facility.
3010 - DOLSOP (Prevent Overdose Deaths Training)
Description: Licensee Training Licensee must receive training in the administration of Naloxone from their pharmacist, and must ensure that their staff also receive appropriate training

Observations: One person in care started a new narcotic medication in May 2023 and there was no naloxone kit and staff stated they were not trained in the administration of Naloxone.
3090 - RCR 55(1)(a)(ii)
Description: A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a type of care described as Hospice, must provide persons in care, without charge, with an ongoing planned program of physical, social and recreational activities designed to meet the objectives of the care plans of the persons in care,
