Description: A licensee must ensure that persons in care have at all times immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate, provided on completion of a course that meets the requirements of Schedule C,
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that persons in care have at all times, immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate.

Observations: Licensing audited two employee files and observed one employee had a first aid certification that had expired January 22, 2024. The Manager stated this person worked alone with persons in care, and the employee had a first aid certification booked for June 2025.
3070 - RCR 81(4)(b)(ii)
Description: A licensee must ensure that each care plan is reviewed and, if necessary, modified if there is no substantial change in the circumstances of the person in care, at least once each year
to ensure it continues to meet the needs and preferences, and is compatible with the abilities, of the person in care who is the subject of the care plan

Observations: Licensing reviewed two person in care's behavioural care plans. One person in care's behavioural care plan had last been updated January 2024. One person in care's behavioural care plan had last been updated January 2022 and the Manager stated this care plan was in review with a behavioural consultant, due to the person in care presenting new behaviours.
3070 - RCR 83(4)(a)
Description: Subject to subsection (5), a licensee, other than a licensee who provides a type of care described as Hospice, must ensure that each person in care is weighed at least once each month,
Corrective Actions Required: Ensure that each person in care is weighed at least once each month.

Observations: Licensing audited two person in care's weight records. Both persons in care did not have weights recorded for June to October, 2024. One person in care did not have weight recorded in March 2025.
