Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that by admission the Licensee had cared for more children than permitted as per Schedule E of the Child Care Licensing Regulation related to staff to child ratio.
Corrective action: Ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E. Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. On March 20, 2024, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included that Licensee would ensure that the staff to children's ratio was maintained at all times. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan. On April 23, 2024, Licensing conducted a Complaint Follow Up inspection to monitor the staff to children's ratio and observed compliance with Schedule E.
