The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined a care plan was not developed for a child in care requiring extra support.
Corrective action: Ensure to develop the care plan in consultation, with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 1, 2022, the Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: the Manager would read and sign off on the BGC Support Plan policy, the Manager would meet with leadership to train on the process of developing care plans, care plan protocol would be reviewed at a staff meeting. Licensing reviewed and accepted this corrective action plan. Licensing received staff meeting minutes from the September 7, 2022 staff meeting showing care plan protocol was reviewed. Licensing was notified in September 2022 that the Manager at the time of the investigation was no longer employed at the facility. Licensing was notified in November 2022 that the child involved in the investigation no longer attended the program.
