A licensee must do all of the following: ensure that policies are implemented by employees.

Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that staff had not implemented the Mechanical Lift Policy.

Corrective action: Ensure that all policies are implemented by employees. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 20, 2022, the Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included that the Mechanical Lift policy was to be assigned to all clinical staff to review and a memo regarding the Mechanical Lift policy was to be posted for staff in the Clinicians office and nursing stations by October 1, 2022. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan. Follow Up Inspection required. On December 10, 2022, Licensing received a copy of a memo, dated October 1, 2022, which reviewed the requirements for completing education related to the Mechanical Lift policy and a confirmation email that 292 staff had completed a review of the Mechanical Lift Policy.
