Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the Licensee had not ensured that the equipment was functional for the use by persons in care.
Corrective action: Ensure that all equipment for use by persons in care meet the needs of the persons in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 1, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: on July 26, 2022, a staff meeting was held, specifically, to educate and remind staff to ensure the overhead lift motors were properly docked and charged overnight. The corrective action plan has been reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On September 1, 2022, Licensing received an email confirmation from the Manager, which indicated that the corrective action plan was completed.
