Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing observed the Licensee had not ensured the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility was no less than that permitted in Schedule E. Specifically, staff were left to supervise children that did not have the appropriate qualifications required by Schedule E.
Corrective action: Ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility was no less than that permitted in Schedule E. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On March 26, 2024, the Manager submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. The corrective action plan included: Schedule E was posted for all staff to review and on April 4, 2024, a staff meeting was held to review the corrective action. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing on March 26, 2024. On May 7, 2024, Licensing received an email from the Manager, that included photographs of staff signatures on copies of the corrective action plan and CCLR Schedule E.

Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing observed staff had not divided children into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E. Specifically, Licensing determined children were in attendance in a service type their age had not allowed, and more than the allowable two children under 36 Months were permitted to attend Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age).
Corrective action: Ensure that children attending a community care facility were divided into groups, with each group having no more than that permitted in Schedule E. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On March 26, 2024, the Manager submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. The corrective action plan included: Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) had closed pending the return of a qualified educator, each service type/classroom was provided a sign in/sign out sheet with the names of the children enrolled and permitted to attend each classroom, Schedule E was posted for all staff to review and on April 4, 2024, a staff meeting was held to review the corrective action. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing on March 26, 2024. On May 7, 2024, Licensing received an email from the Manager, that included photographs of staff signatures on copies of the corrective action plan and CCLR Schedule E.
