Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the Licensee did not ensure that current records were kept; written policies and procedures that were intended to guide employees in the care and supervision of children. Specifically, that there was not a care and supervision policy in place to guide employees.
Corrective action: Ensure that a licensee must keep current records of each of the following: written policies and procedures that are intended to guide employees in the care and supervision of children. Actions/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Actions/s Required by Licensing: On June 21, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. This corrective action plan included all children were marked arrived/departed in the daily attendance sheet, the attendance clipboards were kept with the group at all times. At the beginning of a shift educators confirmed numbers verbally with the staff on duty, when children move to another room for a period of time, both attendance sheets were updated accordingly. Headcounts were performed regularly throughout the day; the staff ensured no part of the room/outdoor area was blocked from supervision and the staff ensured that they were spread out for maximum supervision of all areas at all times. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
