A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that attendance records were not accurately showing children moving around between the two program rooms.
Corrective action: Ensure to keep for each child a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child was present, the time of arrival and departure. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: This investigation was identified in the Final Investigation Report which identified contraventions to the Community Care and Assisted Living Act, Child Care Licensing Regulation. Conditions were imposed on the facility licence on April 26, 2023.
A licensee must ensure that children are supervised at all times by a person who is an educator, an assistant or a responsible adult.
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined a child was left unsupervised in the upstairs of the facility.

A licensee must notify the medical health officer within 24 hours after (a) a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H while under the care or supervision of the licensee,
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined a reportable incident had not been reported to Licensing within 24 hours.
