3080 - CCALA 7(1)(b)(i) 
 

A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care

Observation: Through the course of the investigation process, Licensing determined that the licensee did not operate the community care facility in a manner that promoted the health, safety and dignity of persons in care. Specifically, related to documentation.

Corrective action: Ensure that a Licensee operates the community care facility in a manner that promotes the health, safety and dignity of persons in care. Specifically, related to documentation. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 22, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: The Clinical Care Coordinator and the Director of Care will meet with the night staff to review the policy and procedure on signing for treatment and care provided to persons in care. In addition, an email was sent to all nurses and care aides to remind them of the policy about signing treatment sheets. Licensing received a copy of the email on September 22, 2022. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan.

Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 22, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: The Clinical Care Coordinator and the Director of Care met with the night staff to review the policy and procedure on signing for treatment and care provided to persons in care and an email was sent to all nurses and care aides to remind them of the policy about signing treatment sheets. Observation: Through the course of the investigation process, Licensing determined that the licensee did not operate the community care facility in a manner that promoted in the case of adult person in care, the rights of those persons in care. Specifically, the persons in care were double briefed by staff.
