A licensee must do all of the following: (b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote (ii) in the case of adult persons in care, the rights of those persons in care;

Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the community care facility was not operated in a manner that promoted the rights of persons in care. Specifically, related to a person in care wearing appropriate clothing.

Corrective action: Ensure that the community care facility is operated in a manner that will promote (ii) in the case of adult persons in care, the rights of those persons in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On November 3, 2021, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan specific to the contravention. This corrective action plan included: an email was sent to all staff on November 3, 2021 that included ensuring all persons in care were dressed appropriately in own clothing, consent for clothing changes was made by family or decision makers, nursing staff must discuss the need for modified clothing to family or decision makers and it must be documented and communicated to staff providing care. Licensing received a copy of this email on November 3, 2021. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
