A licensee must ensure that all rooms and common areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Observation: Through the course of the investigation, Licensing determine that the Licensee did not ensure that all rooms and common areas were maintained in a safe and clean condition.

Corrective action: Ensure that all rooms and common areas are maintained in a safe and clean condition. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On February 1, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. This corrective action plan included: monthly room audits were implemented and the first audit was scheduled for February 13, 2023. In addition, a cleaning task list was created for housekeeping staff to guide tasks, the Support Service Manager reviewed cleaning tasks list with all housekeeping, maintenance and janitor staff and a team huddle occurred on February 2, 2023 to review cleaning procedures. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan. Follow Up Inspection required.

A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care

Observation: Through the course of the investigation, Licensing determined that the Licensee did not operate the community care facility in a manner that promoted the health, safety and dignity of persons in care.

Corrective action: Ensure the community care facility is operated in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On February 1, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing.
