Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that staff did not use appropriate behavioral guidance techniques with children in care.
Corrective action: Ensure that behavioural guidance was appropriate to the age and development of the child who were receiving the guidance. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On February 21, 2024, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: the staff member would no longer be employed at the facility. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On April 18, 2024, Manager confirmed staff terminated on February 20, 2024.
