A licensee must notify the medical health officer within 24 hours after (a) a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H while under the care or supervision of the licensee,
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the Medical Health Officer had not been notified within twenty-four hours after a child had been involved in a reportable incident described in Schedule H. Specifically, the Medical Health Officer was not notified that the program closed unexpectedly due to a problem with the building's plumbing.
Corrective action: Ensure that the the Medical Health Officer is notified within twenty-four hours after a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On August 2, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included a completed incident report specific to the facility closure. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
