A licensee must ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance,
Observation: Through the investigation process Licensing determined appropriate behavioural guidance was not used by staff, specifically in regards to the Time In Policy being implemented appropriately.
Corrective action: Ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: This investigation was identified in the Final Investigation Report which identified contraventions to the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and Child Care Licensing Regulations. Conditions were imposed on the facility licence on April 26, 2023.
