A licensee must ensure that the care and supervision of a person in care is consistent with the terms and conditions of the person in care’s care plan.
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined the the licensee did not ensure that the care and supervision of a person in care was consistent with the terms and conditions of the person in care's care plan.
Corrective action: Ensure that the care and supervision of a person in care is consistent with the terms and conditions of the person in care's care plan. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On June 26, 2023, the Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included that ear assessment and flushing was to be added to Point Click Care (PCC) and the nurse's paper desk calendar for every two months for person in care by July 4, 2023 and assessment results would be communicated with family; this was ongoing. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On July 4, 2023, Licensing received photos of the PCC and desk calendars for July, September and November 2023 which included ear care reminders.
