A licensee must ensure that children are supervised at all times by a person who is an educator, an assistant or a responsible adult.
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined by admission of the Licensee, children were picked up from school by the Licensee's daughter and were not directly supervised by the Licensee.
Corrective action: Ensure that children are supervised at all times by a person who is an educator, an assistant or a responsible adult. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 7, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: The Licensee's daughter would not pick up any children from the school or drop them off at anytime or under any circumstances, going forward; the plan had already been put in place at the facility and; If there was an emergency another course of action would be taken to receive the child, which included the child staying with the school until the Licensee was able to pick up the child with the rest of the children in care. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
