A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has obtained all of the following: a criminal record check for the person
Observation: Through the course of the investigation, Licensing determined that the licensee employed a person in a community care facility without obtaining a criminal record check for the person.
Corrective action: Ensure that the licensee employs a person in a community care facility after first obtaining a criminal record check for the person. Action/s s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On November 30, 2022, the Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. This plan included the Human Resource Department completed a staff file audit and Criminal Record Checks on December 2, 2021 and the Human Resource Manager reviewed and signed in acknowledgment the Criminal Record Check Policy. This corrective action plan has been reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan.
