A licensee must provide to children a comprehensive and coordinated program of indoor and outdoor activities that is appropriate for the age and development of children in each group in the community care facility, (except REC only)

Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the length of time Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) were expected to lay on their beds quietly or nap was not age appropriate.

Corrective action: Ensure children are provided activities that are appropriate for the age and development of children in each group in the community care facility. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On August 30, 2024, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included the children, after 20 minutes of rest, would be provided alternate options for quiet activities at a table or another area inside the classroom. The management team would observed and make necessary amendments to activities if needed. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan. On October 25, 2024, Licensing observed the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) groups engaged in table top activities after 20 minutes on their beds.
