A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the Licensee had not met the definition of In Home Multi-Age Child Care when she had another person, who was not an Early Childhood Educator provide care to children at the facility.
Corrective action: Ensure the community care facility was operated in a manner that would promote the health, safety, and dignity of persons in care, specifically to ensure the Licensee provided care in an In Home Multi-Age Child Care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On April 18, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. This corrective action plan included that the Licensee would only use another person to provide care to children when her absence met the definition of "temporary leave" in the Child Care Licensing Regulation. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On July 27, 2023 the corrective action plan was reviewed during the Routine Inspection. The statement from the Licensee indicated that staffing had been compliant with the Child Care Licensing Regulation.
