Without limiting subsection (1) a licensee must ensure that children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E, (except FCC/IHMACC/REC; child qualified if in age range or within one month (except GCC School Age)).
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the maximum capacity of Multi-Age Child Care exceeded the allowable limit permitted in Schedule E, specifically on February 6, 2024, nine children were signed into the Multi-Age Service Type.
Corrective action: Ensure that children attending a community care facility were divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On March 27, 2024, the Manager submitted a corrective action plan specific to the contravention. The corrective action plan included in part, each program was provided sign in/sign out sheets with the names of each child enrolled in the program, Employee to child ratios were posted at the facility for staff to refer to and staff reviewed and signed off of Licensee's policies related to CCLR Schedule E. This corrective action plan has been reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On April 30, 2024, Licensing received documentation, by email from the Manager, which indicated that the review of policies with staff had been completed.
