A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined the Licensee did not ensure the health, safety or dignity of a child in care, specifically, the care plan on file was not implemented.
Corrective action: Ensure to operate the community care facility in a manner that would promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On August 10, 14 and 30, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: Care plans would be developed in consultation with the parent(s), care plans would be reviewed with staff when they were created and staff would sign off on all care plans. Care Plans would also be reviewed throughout the year at staff meetings and all meeting minutes would be documented and kept on site. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On September 14, 2023, Licensing received copies of the three care plans in place showing they had been reviewed and signed by parents and staff.
The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
