A licensee must ensure that children are adequately supervised by qualified employees in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of each child.
Observation: Through the investigation process Licensing determined that children were not adequately supervised.
Corrective action: Ensure that children are adequately supervised by qualified employees in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of each child. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On January 14, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included hiring of an inclusion worker. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan. Follow Up Inspection on July 4, 2022. On May 9, 2022, facility Manger submitted evidence showing that an inclusion worker had been employed.
The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that a care plan had not been developed for a child requiring a care plan.

A licensee must notify the medical health officer within 24 hours after (a) a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H while under the care or supervision of the licensee,
Observation: Through the investigation process Licensing determined that the Medical Health Officer was not notified of a reportable incident.
Corrective action: Ensure the Medical Health Officer is notified within 24 hours after a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H while under the care or supervision of the Licensee. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On January 14, 2022 Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan stated that the Licensee would review the facility's reporting system with the staff and provide training regarding the type of incidents that needed to be reported and how to make a report. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan. Follow Up Inspection on July 4, 2022. On May 9, 2022, facility Manger submitted evidence showing that staff had received training regarding notification.
