A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the Licensee did not follow ensure the health, safety and dignity of children in care, specifically by not following their termination policy as outlined in the Refund policy.
Corrective action: Ensure that policies for terminating children as outlined in the refund policy are being followed. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On August 21, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included an updated Refund policy that included information on when a child may be terminated without notice. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On September 6, 2023 Licensing received confirmation that the Licensee had amended the repayment agreement in the Parent Handbook and provided families of all children in care with a revised copy.
