The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation: Through the investigation process Licensing determined four care plans in place for children in care did not have proof that they were developed in consultation with the parents.
Corrective action: Ensure to develop the care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On April 5 and April 11, 2023 the Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: all current care plans had been signed and dated by the parent, all staff had reviewed and signed off on all care plans in place, and all new hires would review and sign off on any care plans in place during their training. Licensing reviewed and accepted this corrective action plan. On April 3, 2023, Licensing received copies all care plans in place showing they had been signed by parents and on April 11, 2023, Licensing received documentation showing staff had reviewed and signed off on all current care plans in place.
