Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined the Licensee had been using the upstairs of the home occasionally with the children. Conditions on the facility Licence state: Piglets Playschool Early Years Centre operates on the rear lower level of the residence only.
Corrective action: Ensure to operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On November 10, 2021 the Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. This corrective action plan included the children would not have access to the upstairs of the home and the door connecting the upstairs and downstairs would remain locked during care hours. This corrective action plan has been reviewed and approved by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan. On January 27, 2022 Licensing conducted a Routine Inspection and determined the corrective action plan was being followed. Action/s Required by Licensing: No further action required; this contravention has been addressed.
