Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined a contravention related to equipment, furniture and supplies, specifically, an unstable table with clip chairs.
Corrective action: Ensure equipment, furniture and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction, easy to clean and free from hazards. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 7, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: Photo of the pink table was with clip chairs on it was removed. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On September 18, 2023 Licensing conducted a Complaint Follow Up Inspection and observed the pink table with clip chairs had been removed.
A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as either Preschool (30 months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age), must have in a community care facility a sturdy surface for changing diapers, located outside the food preparation area, next to a covered container for soiled clothing
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined a contravention related to a healthy and safe environment, specifically, an uncovered dirty laundry bucket accessible to children.
Corrective action: Ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided. A licensee, must have in a community care facility a sturdy surface for changing diapers, located outside the food preparation area, next to a covered container for soiled clothing. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 7, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: Photos of the bucket in the bathroom with soiled diapers had a lid. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On September 18, 2023, Licensing conducted a Complaint Follow Up Inspection and observed the bucket in the bathroom with soiled diapers had a lid.

Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined a contravention related to hazardous items, specifically, cords hanging down and accessible to children.
Corrective action: Ensure children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 18, 2023 Licensing conducted a Complaint Follow Up Inspection and observed the cord was not accessible to children and had been removed.
