A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined the daily attendance record did not indicate the arrival and departure times.
Corrective action: Ensure a record showing the time of arrival and departure is kept. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: Between March 3, 2024 and March 25, 2024 Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: the Licensee would utilize a bulletin to ensure the children were signed in and out and the attendance record would be posted. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On April 9, 2024, Licensing conducted a follow up inspection and observed the white board that indicated the children in care this date. There were seven children expected this date and the attendance was posted, and the arrival time had been recorded.

Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the Licensee did not observe compliance with the terms & conditions on their licence. Specially, the maximum capacity.
Corrective action: Ensure the community care facility is operated in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care, specifically ensuring Schedule E is met at all times. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: Between March 3, 2024 and March 25, 2024 Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: the Licensee would have no more than seven children in care before the Licensee left the facility in the morning to drop off the school aged children at the school and upon returning from the school. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On April 9, 2024, Licensing conducted a follow up inspection and observed the white board that indicated the children in care this date. There were seven children expected this date and the attendance was posted, and the arrival time had been recorded.
