A licensee must have first aid kits that are readily accessible to all employees, including while care is provided off the community care facility premises.
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that emergency supplies were not taken offsite when staff picked up children from the [school] on September 12, 13 and 14, 2022 and walked them back to ILM-LPS.
Corrective action: Ensure that emergency supplies in first aid kits are accessible to all employees, including while care is provided off site. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On November 8, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included that staff will carry a backpack with all safety materials when picking up children [from][school]. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On January 31, 2023, Licensing received information from the Licensee Contact that staff continued to follow the Corrective Action Plan and were carrying a backpack with all safety materials when picking up children from school.
