Subject to subsection (5), a licensee, other than a licensee who provides a type of care described as Hospice, must ensure that each person in care is weighed at least once each month,
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that a person in care had not been weighed monthly.
Corrective action: Ensure persons in care are weighed at least once each month. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On December 1, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: a memo was communicated to all staff by email, which outlined the process and individual staff/role responsibilities to ensure that monthly weights were not only completed, but that they were accurately documented through Point Click Care (PCC). On April 15, 2023, the Manager sent Licensing an email which included person in cares documented weights for 2023.
