A licensee must immediately notify a parent or emergency contact if, while under the care or supervision of the licensee, the child becomes ill or is injured,
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the Licensee did not notify a parent or emergency contact immediately when a child became ill or injured while under the care or supervision of the Licensee.
Corrective action: Ensure a Licensee must notify a parent or emergency contact, if while under the care or supervision of the Licensee, the child becomes ill or injured. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On June 26, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included, staff received mandatory training which included a review of reportable incidents and notifying parents immediately when a child incurred a head/neck injury. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On April 19, 2023, Licensing received by email a photograph of educations related to reportable incidents and notification of parents; the photograph contained staff signatures and dates, which indicated staff had completed the training.
