A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the Manager did not demonstrate the skills necessary to carry out the duties assigned, specifically related to ensuring the dignity of a child in care.
Corrective action: Ensure that the community care facility is operated in a manner that will promote the health safety, safety and dignity of children in care. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to the contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On September 9 and 12, 2022 and November 29, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan specific to the contravention. The corrective action plan included: Written confirmation from the Manager stating that they would ensure the dignity of children in care and staff meeting minutes which included discussion on appropriate documentation. This corrective action plan has been reviewed and accepted by Licensing.
