Without limiting subsection (1) a licensee must ensure that children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E, (except FCC/IHMACC/REC; child qualified if in age range or within one month (except GCC School Age)).
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the there were more children than permitted in Schedule E present.
Corrective action: Ensure the child who attend are no more than that permitted in Schedule E. Action/s required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On February 14, 2023, Licensee Contact submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: staff would be trained on protocols for maintaining required ratios during new staff orientation and re-enforced at the March 2023 staff meeting; registrations would be checked to ensure ratio requirements were kept. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On August 11, 2023, Licensing received confirmation that staff reviewed child ratio requirements during a staff meeting held on March 22, 2023 and ongoing monitoring of child ratios requirements occurred.
