A licensee must ensure that a child, while under the care or supervision of the licensee, is not subjected to any of the following: (e) separation, without supervision by a responsible adult, from other children
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that staff told the children to come into the office with the door closed, by themselves for approximately two minutes, to separate the children for their safety from other children.
Corrective action: Ensure that a child, while under the care or supervision of the licensee, is not subjected to any of the following: (e) separation, without supervision by a responsible adult, from other children. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan to Licensing specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On January 6, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. This corrective action plan included no child would be left alone in the facility without the presence of a leader and on January 23, 2023 all staff signed a document which indicated they received and reviewed the updated policies. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. Licensing to review and monitor this corrective action plan. Follow Up Inspection required. Unscheduled Follow Up Inspections on January 23, 2023, February 17, 2023, March 2 and 22, 2023 identified supervision was compliant.
