A licensee must ensure that behavioural guidance is appropriate to the age and development of the child who is receiving the guidance,
Observation: Through the investigation process, Licensing determined that the behavioural guidance used was not appropriate to the age and development of the child who was receiving the guidance.
Corrective action: Ensure that behavioural guidance was appropriate to the age and development of the child, who was receiving the guidance. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit corrective action plan to Licensing specific to contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On March 10, 2023, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan to Licensing. The corrective action plan included: all staff to read and sign off on the Licensee's Behaviour Guidance Policy and staff would submit written statements about their own behaviour guidance techniques specific to incidents of biting. This corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On March 10, 2023, Licensee submitted staff written behaviour guidance statements, and on March 21, 2023, Manager provided documentation which showed that staff had reviewed and signed off on Behaviour Guidance Policy.
