A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (f) a log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events involving children, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H.
Observation: Through the investigation process Licensing identified that the facility had not recorded all minor accidents in a log.
Corrective action: Ensure licensee must keep current records of each of the following: a log of minor accidents, illnesses and events. Action/s Required by Licensee: Licensee to submit a corrective action plan specific to this contravention. Action/s Required by Licensing: On October 5, 2022, Licensee submitted a corrective action plan specific to this contravention. The corrective action plan included: parents would be notified of minor incidents at the time of incident and pick up time. All incidents would be documented in the minor incident logbook in an objective professional manner and the documentation of incident would include details of the incident and appropriate first aid treatment that the childcare provider had administered. The corrective action plan was reviewed and accepted by Licensing. On November 25, 2022 Licensing received photo evidence by email of entries in the minor incident log.
