License Conditions

1. A Facility Manager, approved by Licensing will be responsible for the day to day operation of the facility including but not limited to: a) Supervision of employees including hiring, performance review and monitoring and termination. b) Work on site for a minimum of 30 hours per week. c) Hiring, providing mentoring, oversight and guidance to facility staff as it relates to the provision of care for persons in care which includes i) Oversight of the admissions and enrollment process for the admission of persons in care. ii) The supervision and direction to employees who provide care to persons in care, and iii) Managing unusual situations or emergencies. d) A designate to be assigned to fulfill the role as Manager when the Manager is absent due to illness, leave of absences or vacation. 2. The Facility Manager delegated by the Licensee must complete Licensing's Manager Assessment of Suitability with a passing score of 70 percent or higher and attend a Licensing Manager Information Session prior to commencing work. 3. Any health and safety plan or corrective action plan developed by the Licensee in relation to an investigation must be reviewed with staff and signed off [where appropriate] that they have read and understood the plans. Definitions of the plans are identified as follows: a) Health and Safety Plans - as requested from the Licensee by Licensing at the start of an investigation to ensure that the health, safety and dignity of persons in care is maintained during the course of an investigation. b) Corrective Action Plans - as requested from the Licensee by Licensing at the conclusion of an investigation when noncompliance to legislation has been identified. The Corrective Action Plan demonstrates how the Licensee will ensure compliance to the Community Care and Assisted Living Act, Child Care Licensing Regulation and Director of Licensing, Standards of Practice are met. 4. The Licensee must, as a part of the orientation and training process for new and current staff, have staff sign off that they have read, understand and will enact the facility policies.
