Critical Inadequate Treatment
Inadequate treatment of Arsenic to maintain concentration below acceptable concentration in the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality (<10ug/L).Chemical sampling from November 7, 2023 and November 20, 2023 indicates treat water above 10ug/L Arsenic.
Corrective Actions: 1. Place and maintain water system on Arsenic Water Quality Notice include posted signage and notice to guest/water system users. 2. Work with your operator and water system consultant to assess the current treatment system and wells and provide a proposed plan with time frames to correct arsenic treatment by January 8, 2023. 3. Any upgrades or alterations to the water system would require a Construction Permit Waiver from the Public Health Engineer. 4. The Water Quality Notice remains in place until rescinded in co-ordination with Drinking Water Officer and requires arsenic performance testing before and after treatment system.
